Your tour would start in Muscat with a visit to all the major attractions of the city including Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, which is one of the largest mosques in the world. Then you will be moving to the interior parts of the country famous for its Geographical Wonders, you would pass through BIMAH SINKHOLE - A spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. You would also be going to SUR the ship building city, Have a visit to the turtle hatching lagoons, The turtles come to lay their eggs at night continue your Jouney Jebel shams through - WAHIBA Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand. WADI BANI KHALID - the most beautiful wadis in Oman, NIZWA - Oman's cultural capital and end your Jouney at Jebel Shams - Oman’s highest peak, which offers a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. With its natural beauty, rich culture, and warm hospitality, Oman has something for everyone.

Day 1

ARRIVE MUSCAT

You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our MTA representative who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel. Overnight at Hotel Muscat

Day 2

COAST – WADI SHAB - TURTLES

08:30 AM your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you for an incredible journey. Start the tour by going towards Bimah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with inviting blue-green water, concrete steps lead down the side making swimming possible. You will then stop at Wadi Shab which means a “wadi between the cliffs”, enjoy a walk through the wadi, walking shoes are strongly recommended. Going up the wadi you will soon see pools appearing before you and you may also enjoy a refreshing swim in those pools….. enter Wadi Tiwi with its green pools and lush plantations. We head onto Qalhat famous for its history of exports to and imports of spices from India. Looking over at Qalhat is the Bibi Mariam Tomb (closed for archeological searches). Your next stop will be in Sur, another town famous for its trading and Dhow Building Yard. The sheltered Lagoon is a perfect picture. The turtles come to lay their eggs at night and this experience is a memorable one. Overnight at Ras al Hadd.

Day 3

JALAAN BANI BU ALI - WAHIBA SANDS

After breakfast, you will start by a drive to the Desert via Asellah, following the scenic rocky coastline, to visit the old Mosque in Jalan Bani Bu Ali, Al Hamooda Mosque, that was build in 11th Century ….. Continue towards Wahiba sands, with its golden sand dunes. Meet a Bedouin family, do some dune bashing which consists in going up and down the dunes like a roller coaster with your 4x4. Enjoy the tranquility of the desert. The night in the desert will be a memorable one. Night at Wahiba Sands.

Day 4

WADI BANI KHALID–IBRA- NIZWA

After breakfast, you will leave behind you this beautiful desert and continue your journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most picturesque wadis in Oman. Take a plunge in the crystal clear waters of the wadi, perfect spot to take memorable pictures of Green pools and waterfalls. On your way to Nizwa, stop in Ibra for a closer look at the watchtowers proudly looking over villages from the top of the hills. Nizwa was once the capital of Oman, go through the traditional and craft Souk ….before visiting the Fort with its large circular tower …. The breathtaking view from the tower will show you how big the plantation is. Overnight in hotel in Nizwa.

Day 5

BAHLA –WADI NAKHR – JEBEL SHAMS

Your journey starts with a visit of Bahla, a charming little town surrounded by an old 12 km long wall; visit the place where they make pottery and also the old Fort of Bahla, one of the oldest in Oman. It is UNESCO Heritage site. (Under renovation) Travel to Jebel Shams but before going up the mountain there is an interesting wadi, Wadi Nakhr, a narrow canyon. It is a stunning beautiful place, and is geologically spectacular, being one of the deepest canyons on the planet. Go deep inside to visit the village where the main activity is weaving ….. Your journey then continues to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak, 3009 m get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. The stunning landscape will enchant you before heading down the mountain to return to Muscat. Overnight at Hotel Muscat.

DEPARTURE TRANSFER
